My name is Jan Wehby.

As a Designer… as a joyous Place Maker… my dreams are fulfilled each time I help bring the dreams of others to fruition.

I am a multi-faceted designer with 30 years of diverse design experience, from very small jobs to huge projects. 

I believe your home is more than ‘space’, it is a Place that should speak to your essence, nurture your spirit, and provide for your well-being.  I always seek to understand each client and what is needed in his/her project.

    Do you dream of building a Place? Not anything that’s status quo, but a Place designed thoughtfully and intentionally for you? A Place that celebrates authentic Architecture that speaks to one’s spirit and nurtures well-being?

    I am joyously inspired and informed by the lay-of-the-land and the natural environment! When the man-made and the natural environment respectfully join, beautiful and creative opportunities emerge. In their union, they enhance each other and by doing so, enrich the lives of those who live there.

  • Are you concerned about what’s best for the various generations in your family? I too have had these concerns.

    Maybe you’re concerned your older generation might need present or future assistance but, for whatever your family’s reasons might be, senior living communities aren’t the right choice for your family.

    Maybe your middle generation has needs for various tasks or respite.

    Maybe your youngest generation varies in specific needs and wishes.

    The ‘maybes’ are endless. If you aren’t sure how to create the privacy and autonomy each of you needs, while merging places for interaction that’s a blessing for everyone, maybe we should discuss ‘what if’.

    Multi-generational living isn’t right for everyone, but what if there are solutions and possibilities in your own home you’ve not considered?

  • Whether you’re moving into a new home, sprucing up, or remodeling, the multitude of choices can be intimidating at best, often paralyzing, and at worst, wrong and costly!

    I know how to bring about the choices that are right for you and your home! My services in this category are abundant. Some examples:

    • I have up-to-date knowledge about products that will help you make the right choices.

    • My color expertise provides an understanding of how a specific paint color will affect a specific space.

    • Space Planning is critical for pleasant places where you’ll enjoy spending your time.

  • Many people are considering updating their homes for various reasons. Maybe the stress of finding a different home and moving is exhausting to think about. Maybe you like your location. Maybe you have valuable memories in your current home. The reasons for updating instead of moving are many.

    If you want to update while considering the updates being conducive for current or possible future needs, I am an Aging In Place Specialist. Don’t let those words scare you, because I can make your home absolutely beautiful while providing design solutions that will serve you through life’s transitions. Spaces should be designed specifically for you, for your emotional and functional well-being, present and future.

  • "Jan worked with us on our move into a new townhouse.  The challenge we gave Jan was to repurpose our existing furnishings as much as possible.  This was a huge challenge as the décor was traditional and eclectic, however, the new town home was design was extremely modern. Jan spent a good amount of time visiting our existing home to get a feel of what we had and understanding our favorite pieces.  She then spent time in the townhome before we moved to do space planning, designing, and measuring furniture placement.   The way she re-envisioned our furniture in the new space was incredible.  She drew professional furniture plans for our records. These were used on moving day and made the actual move much smoother. For the few new pieces we decided, she provided ideas, sizes and scale, and helped to select fabrics and colors to fit the rooms and décor we wanted to transition to.  She designed an entertainment room with bar and sitting area. She even helped with wallpaper, paint, rugs and hanging of all art work. We love our new home, and our friends and family are so impressed with how we were able to repurpose our furniture into the new space.  All thanks to Jan’s personal touch."

  • "I have had the pleasure working with Jan on multiple projects. She assisted in picking out colors for the exterior of the house and the entire interior of my house. Jan is a genius with color. She sees how lighting and other elements affect color that I could never see.  Jan also was a huge help in a finished basement remodel and huge kitchen gut. Her ability to space plan in open areas was invaluable and they both turned out amazing.  Another area she shines is melding two different tastes together into a design that both husband and myself love.
